Katermurr – Tramonto

Tramonto is our new 3 track release by Katermurr. It is the artistname of Swiss, Basel based Nic Engel. A somewhat media shy person as there’s hardly any artist info or picture to find of him. No Facebook page, just a soundcloud profile with around 130 followers. He’s had a few releases out on Pogo House and it’s sub labels before we received his demos in the inbox. We pressed play and got vibin’ immediately. Feel good, classic sounding piano house or happy house as they used to call it back in the days.

Katermurr’s take on classic piano house

Tramonto is like a small treasure chest holding 3 sublime classic sounding house tracks, with lots of 90s flair and especially a lot of superb piano riffs and melodies. Something the older folks with a bit of clubbing experience from the early days will instantly recognize. Misty Night, the EP opening track, sounds more garagehouse compared to Sentimental Piano or Tramonto but could count on the best support at the stores. We could go on about how good these tracks are for a while longer but just listen to them yourself. You won’t regret it.
