We have lost count how many times we’ve released music from our Norwegian friend Addvibe aka Lux Experience aka Pal Sorli. He routinely sends us links of new work, or as it was the case on Burdons, older unreleased tracks from ages ago. Burdons is exactly that, a 3 tracker with older unreleased cuts he found on a backup HDD. They survived the test of time as we liked them a lot. Starting of deep, moving over to more groovy and garage inspired sounds.

Burdons, Copycat & Happy Feet

Addvibe‘s new release Burdons is out worldwide by the time you’ll read this post. The release gathered nice support from Traxsource and DJ’s all over the world. Some like the deeper cut, Burdons, while others firmly opted to go for the more garage inspired Happy Feet. The garage house genre has been gathering fans left and right over the past two years and we see more labels giving the genre a chance. Addvibe’s track was found on an old harddisk and dates back a few years though. It’s playful in it’s use of clever placed samples to create the garage vibe.

Blue Chords – Shake Me Right

French producer, Blue Chords aka Steve Faets debuts on the label with Shake Me Right. He is a self-taught keyboardist who started playing piano at the age of 12. He enters the electronic music scene as a DJ around the year 2000. His musical galaxy is tinged with jazz, funk and disco sounds that he puts at the service of house music, deep house and funky house. His productions are oriented house, deep house, tech house or soulful house and highlight his love for piano, fender Rhodes and analog synths and vocals.

GENTS152 – Blue Chords – Shake Me Right EP

Shake Me Right

Blue Chords loves the keys/keyboard and it shows/it’s heard on all of his productions. Lush melodies and chord progressions underpin his tracks which he tops of with key solos of considerable length. Never boring, always exciting to hear, and oh so varied. The 3 tracks on his Shake Me Right EP capture this variety perfectly. The main title track is a jackin house bomb while I Don’t Wanna Give Up is more on a soulful house tip. Closing track Some Of Ya is the deeper cut on the EP. First and last track feature cheeky samples that connaisseurs should know.

Heat Alliance brings the heat

No More Tears opens the follow-up EP by Heat Alliance followed by Save Me. Both tracks have an uptempo garage house flair to them with those well known chord stabs. Save Me ups the tempo another notch and starts with – what sounds like – sampled shuffling jackin house beats, that could have been heard on a Sneak & Armand Van Helden release from the 90s. A lush sounding pad serves as an intro to the forward propelling motion the track has when the stab melody enters the arrangement. Hands in the air moments, check!

Got To Move – The Boogie Moon

We’ve got another French, Paris based duo on board! Antoine and Bastien form Got To Move and got in touch with their demos for The Boogie Moon. The original Ride To The Boogie Moon is a funky uptempo jacker with a boogie funk feel. The original is then remixed by another Parisian that goes by the name of Arkid. He transforms it into a Minimal/Deep Tech cut. Grab Me House the EP opening track uses clever catchy sampling with filtering applied which we’re kinda used to from the French (touch). Do Nada is also really dope but is better filed under the house genre.

The Boogie Moon is the debut EP from the fairly unknown French duo Got To Move. Packed with 3 originals and a remix, this makes for a well rounded EP. Covering multiple styles of house and bringing variety to the table, which we like a lot at the label HQ. From track creation, to artwork or even press kit material these guys have nailed it. Impressive to see that there are artists that work their own career path so well. They’ve been pushing hard at getting premieres sorted for all the tracks on the EP and the release sold well.

Khillaudio – Feel Good Groovin

Feel Good Groovin is the new jackin house single by label man Khillaudio. While he doesn’t release often, he still managed to find time to produce this slamming jackin house groover. Funky bass guitar line underpinned with solid 909 drums and a filtered disco sample make this an enjoyable track.

Feel Good Groovin

There’s a really cool story about how Feel Good Groovin initially came to be. As a label owner Khillaudio is frequently in touch with his label artists and has made a couple of good friends along the way. Lux Experience aka Addvibe is just one of them. He mailed the label boss a small funky/disco sample for his 43th birthday (in 2019), and basically motivated him to get a track going from it. The rest is history and around 2 years later it got released and could count on proper dj support. Berlin House Music took care of the premiere.

Oscar Velazques aka Ritmo Du Vela, one of Mexico’s prolific producers, features on the label with All Fucking Night.
It’s safe to say he’s best known for his uptempo jackin house tracks that gather support by dj’s worldwide. This EP is no different, main title track is a bomb tune with sampled vocals by Moodymann, carefully cut up and placed inside the overall groove of the track. Chap’s on the flip has more of that old skool 90s deephouse vibe.
