Heat Alliance brings the heat

No More Tears opens the follow-up EP by Heat Alliance followed by Save Me. Both tracks have an uptempo garage house flair to them with those well known chord stabs. Save Me ups the tempo another notch and starts with – what sounds like – sampled shuffling jackin house beats, that could have been heard on a Sneak & Armand Van Helden release from the 90s. A lush sounding pad serves as an intro to the forward propelling motion the track has when the stab melody enters the arrangement. Hands in the air moments, check!

Jorn Johansen’s hot label debut Love The Way

When we started the label it seemed we had a somewhat oldskool 90s house vibe to our releases. Later on this got branded ‘Garage House’ on the net. While we would never pin us down to one specific niche flavor of house, we also weren’t shy of it. We all love a good bumpy garage feel track don’t we?

In comes Jorn Johansen, who send us a package of demos from which we selected 3 banging tracks. Starting of with the crème de la crème of the EP Love The Way. Sampling the over used Loleatta, but than in a much better way than most, this track grabbed us instantly. You Can’t Hide is a more laid back deephouse vibe which remembers us of a more Dutch sound which can be found on the Essential Elements compilation series. As the closer comes Do It Good, hard hitting stabs, vocal chops in answer/reply style… dope!

George Jackson collaborates with vocalist Gene Roberson on Got That Magic

When you search for George Jackson on an online music retailer you will see multiple artists under that name. He is not to be mistaken with the Chicago artist with the same name. ‘Our’ George is based out of London UK, and deserves his own profile. To differentiate this, we’ve added (UK) next to his name. To create the single Got That Magic he collaborated with US-based soulful house vocalist Gene Roberson. The result, really is truly amazing. A deep, soulful house bomb, that we dare to call one of our best releases to date. Singapore based, UK expat, DJ Passion gets on the remix buttons and gives the original a garage house inspired rework. Adding more ‘oomph’ and power to the single for the peak time slots.
