Hideaway is the name of the new EP by 22 Weeks including the collaborative second track Purple Cloud, with B&S Concept. The main title track is a track that sits is best categorized under either Deep House or the main House genre. Sizzling hi hat’s, a warm muted bassline with a little guitar riff on tap and the of course the vocal chops and signature 22 Weeks builds, rolls and breakdowns.
On the virtual flip there’s Purple Cloud, a jackin house tune with careful sampling techniques that’s came to be by teaming up with B&S Concept

Our first volume was a succes, so we decided to continue with. Just once a year and 4 tracks/artists per release, no more. On volume two we’ve got 3 new faces and 1 returning artist. Tracks by 22 Weeks, TBM (UK), Sischke & Azit. Makes for a nice variety as well. From lush deep with subtle tech influences, to sample heavy groover and back. A sampler with punch.

Khillaudio has issued out 2 remixes for Swingin’ Times and these have been made by 22 Weeks and Leigh D Oliver. This remix release marks the 100 release on the label after 5 years in operation.

GENTS100 – Khillaudio – Swingin’ Times (The Remixes)

Khillaudio adds another two remixes to his Swingin’ Times track.

When ‘Swingin’ Times’ originally came out as a single it was bundled together with remixes from both Sebb Junior and Das Carma. For the label’s 100 release Khillaudio wanted it to be something special. Sothe decision was made to issue out another 2 additional remixes of his ‘Swingin’ Times’ track. Good friend 22 Weeks jumped in, as well as Leigh D Oliver. Both remixes are totally different to the other mixes making for a varied package. While 22 Weeks goes full-on house, Leigh strips back a lot of the polished elements and adds some dirt, for a filty and more distroted lo-fi vibe.

22 Weeks – Keep On Moving is an EP from our Belgian friend Raf Van den Dries. It holds 3 tracks that are equally powerful even though they’re all a different style. Think Garage & Jackin House, with small Tech influences.
One thing is sure, they are all 3 peaktime floorfillers.

GENTS094 – 22 Weeks – Keep On Moving

Belgian producer 22 Weeks keeps on moving

22 Weeks is a project that initially started as a duo. Formed by Raf Van den Dries and Kim Van Craen. After a couple of solid releases on Large, House Cookin and our sister/brother label Crooks & Villains Records they’ve split up and only Raf kept producing under his 22 Weeks moniker. He then went on to sign releases and remixes to DVINE and No Fuss, before sending us his ‘Keep On Moving’ EP. It’s no doubt that 22 Weeks likes peaktime house cuts, considering his DVINE signing, and it’s reflected in this EP. 3 powerful, groove laden – somtimes tech house tinged – belters of tracks. All of them slightly different in style, deep, garage and jackin house vibes.
